Dr. Virmaris Perdomo is a Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist. She describes herself as a caregiver, hard-working, fun woman, who loves her profession. After working in some of the best practices in New York and Puerto Rico for over 10 years, she is ready to open a brand new state of the art practice in Dorado Puerto Rico where she feels she can contribute the most to her community.
Dr. Perdomo grew up in Puerto Rico and New York. She became familiar with dental medicine and realized it would be a fulfilling profession. So she went to the University of Puerto Rico, where she earned her BS and consequently her DMD at the School of Dental Medicine, UPR.
While obtaining her DMD, Dr. Perdomo had the opportunity to attend Boston University to do research. She was very clear that her future was focused on a specialty involving the relationship between oral and systemic health, implant dentistry and most importantly patient wellness. She received her certificate in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, after a three year residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, NY. She was trained in preventing, diagnosis and treating periodontal disease, esthetic gum surgeries, sinus lift surgeries, implants, laser treatment, and more.
Since graduating, Dr. Perdomo has been an associate professor at the University of Puerto Rico and has practiced in San Juan, Ponce, Guaynabo, Arecibo, and Dorado. Her practice is focused on systemic health awareness, educating in the prevention of oral diseases, treatment of periodontal disease and implant placement with the latest technology. She performs guided implant surgery utilizing 3D imaging and planning software.
When she is not practicing, she enjoys discovering beaches and secret natural trails around the island with her husband, two children and two dogs. They love traveling, water sports and international cuisine.
Dr. Jessica Laguna is a Pediatric Dentist who is very passionate about her profession. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she became interested in becoming a pediatric dentist since a very young age. She earned her BS in Molecular Biology from the University of Puerto Rico and went on to complete her DMD at the School of Dental Medicine, UPR.
After graduating, Dr. Laguna decided to further her knowledge in dentistry by completing a 2-year General Practice Residency in NYC at Montefiore Medical Center. After that, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a Pediatric Dentist and moved back to Puerto Rico for a 2-year residency at the UPR Medical Sciences Campus where she was trained in pediatric behavior management, nitrous oxide sedation, treatment of patients with special healthcare needs, interceptive orthodontics, and more.
Since graduating, Dr. Laguna has been practicing in Caguas, P.R. and has now joined Dr. Perdomo in her practice at Dorado P.R. When she is not practicing, she enjoys relaxing at the beach, going shopping and getting pampered at the nail salon.
La Dra. Sepúlveda es originaria de Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Su alma mater , donde fue parte del equipo de tennis. Luego Cursó sus estudios de odontología en la Escuela de Medicina Dental, y continuó su residencia en Periodoncia en NOVA Southeastern University, en Florida. La doctora Sepúlveda regresa a su isla para proveer servicios periodontales de alto calibre.
En su tiempo libre se considera una persona bien activa y le encantan los “outdoor” activities. Algunas de las actividades que más disfruta son correr, tennis, beach tennis, pickle ball e ir al gym. Viajar y visitar lugares nuevos es de sus pasa tiempos favoritos. Sin duda alguna, su lugar preferido y el que más feliz la hace es la playa. Le encantan los animales y las aventuras.
